The soft tissue surgery Department at Saigon Pet Hospital provides up-to-date professional care for animals suffering from all sorts of soft tissue conditions required surgery.

Our extended crew of experienced surgeons, clinicians, vet residents and nurses in critical care, anaesthesia, cardiology, internal medicine, diagnostic imaging and oncology to ensure the animals in our care are at the highest quality.

The soft tissue department at Saigon Pet Hospital is pleased to accept referrals in all areas of soft tissue surgery from any veterinary hospital and clinic, namely: 

– Gastrointestinal surgery – e.g. foreign body removal, intussusception, gastric dilation-volvulus, hiatal hernia, mass removals.

– Endocrine surgery – e.g. surgical management of thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal and pancreatic disease

– Urogenital surgery – e.g. kidney removal, ectopic ureter reimplantation, bladder surgery, stone removal, subcutaneous ureteral bypass (SUB) placement, urethral cuff placement, ectopic ureter laser

– Cardiothoracic surgery – e.g. PDA surgery, pericardiectomy, pyothorax, lung removal, thymoma

– Oncological surgery – e.g. tumour removal

– Maxillofacial surgery – e.g. cleft palate, salivary gland problems, mandible and maxilla resection

– Reconstructive and plastic surgery – e.g. wound management, wound reconstruction, amputation

  • Ear, nose, throat (ENT): Brachycephalic surgery such as BOAS surgery, laryngeal tieback

We are also well-equipped with and able to perform up-to-date endoscopic surgical techniques operated by experienced surgeons which is much less invasive than the original surgical techniques for some specific situation. Thanks to this modern procedure, it will decrease the amount of discomfort your pet could have gone through post-operation.

The Clinical Pathology departments are accredited by the European Congress of Veterinary Pathology & Clinical Pathology (ECVCP). Our qualified clinical pathologists work with specialists at our Small Animal Referral Hospital and Large Animal Practice providing practical, up to date advice to veterinary surgeons.
